GAMBARAN PENGGUNAAN RADIOFARMAKA DI INSTALASI KEDOKTERAN NUKLIR RSUD ABDOEL WAHAB SJAHRANIE SAMARINDA
Abstract
Radiopharmaceuticals used in health services in hospitals, especially for diagnostics and therapy, are closely related to the limited number of nuclear medicine facilities and the availability of radiopharmaceuticals in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the use of radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic patients at the Nuclear Medicine Installation at Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda during the 2018–2020 period, including proportions based on the number of patients, patient origin, gender, patient age, type of disease, type of examination, radionuclide and the pharmaceutical kit used. The study was conducted by descriptive observation, the sample was taken by total sampling using retrospective data on the medical records of patients who had undergone diagnostic and therapy in nuclear medicine installations. The results showed the highest number of diagnostic patients in 2019 was (42.70%), the highest number of therapy patients occurred in 2020 many as (49.11%), the number of female patients was more than male who underwent diagnostics and therapy each year, the city of Samarinda became the origin of the most patients who received diagnostics and therapy, adults (26-58 years old) who do the most diagnostics and therapy, clinical diagnosis of thyroid cancer is the type of disease that is most widely used for diagnostics and therapy, the type of examination of the whole body bone (Bone Scan) is the most widely performed compared to other examination each year, the use of technetium 99m radionuclide was the most widely used in 2019 as much (44.62%), the use of iodine radionuclide 131 the most widely used in 2020 as much (54.08%),the use of MDP pharmaceutical kits (Methylene Diphosphonate) was most widely usedfor diagnostics in nuclear medicine installations.
