GAMBARAN SOSIALISASI GEMA CERMAT DI KELURAHAN SENGKOTEK KECAMATAN LOA JANAN ILIR

Abstract

There are still many problems with drug use in the community, in order to overcome this problem the government held the GEMA CERMAT program or the Smart Community Movement for Using Drugs, which is a community movement in increasing public awareness, concern and understanding about the correct use of drugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the socialization of GEMA CERMAT in the community in Sengkotek Village, Loa Janan Ilir District in carrying out self-medication appropriately. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional method approach.

          The object of research is the socialization of GEMA CERMAT and public knowledge in self-medication. The independent variable in this study is the socialization of GEMA CERMAT and the dependent variable is the knowledge of self-medication of the community in Sengkotek Village, Loa Janan Ilir District. This study used the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples tested and the results obtained were 324 respondents were divided into 2 groups, the first group was 162 respondents were given socialization treatment and the second group was 162 respondents were not given socialization treatment. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Each respondent was given a questionnaire as many as 25 questions to measure the level of community knowledge which was then analyzed using crosstabs to determine the effect of respondents' characteristics on the level of knowledge about GEMA CERMAT, then the data was carried out by chi-square test to determine the relationship between the level of public knowledge on the two groups of GEMA CERMAT socialization treatment. , the significant value obtained is 0.000 < 0.05. The results showed that the socialization of Gema Cermat had an effect on the level of community knowledge in performing self-medication (p < 0.05).
